For generations the Vio family have preserved their own lands cultivating local products.
Located in Bastia on the Albenga plain where they grow herbs, the family farmland runs along the River Arroscia up to Ranzo on the high slopes of Imperia where you will find vineyards and olive groves.
"The use of pesticides, fertilizers and suchlike chemical products is not part of our local tradition, so we have just carried on as they did in the past. Organic farming is not a technical or economical choice: it is simply a question of culture", in the words of Aimone Giobatta who, together with his wife, Chiara, has always put his faith in organic farming, their soil certification having been granted in 1989.
Currently, their daughters Caterina, Camilla and Carolina, also run the different branches of the family business with passion and competence, from harvesting to the daily packaging of the herbs, from agronomic care of the grapes to winemaking and to welcoming guests to their rural guesthouse and to the cellar.
