BioVio: a family, a company where local products, our history and respect for nature intertwine to discover the authentic Liguria.
For generations, we have preserved our land by cultivating local agricultural products; spiny artichokes and aromatic herbs in the plains of Albenga, and vineyards and olive groves in the hills. A large family consisting of the founders Aimone and Chiara, their daughters Caterina, Camilla and Carolina who passionately and competently oversee the various areas of the business, from agronomic care to grape vinification uve;
from harvesting in the fields to the daily packaging of aromatic herbs, from welcoming guests to the farmhouse to those visiting the winery.
The latest addition is the OrtOsteria Renè, which offers culinary experiences to taste and discover the territory, all paired with the winery’s wines.

Wine and Oil, the story of a tradition
Our family’s farming culture has been handed down from generation to generation through the production of native grape varieties, Pigato, Vermentino, Rossese and Granaccia, and the cultivation of Taggiasca olives on old dry stone walls. This is the true heritage of the Ligurian land, of our family, and we take care of it every day.

We welcome our guests as if they were at home, where the old stone walls, the old fireplace and traditional dishes will take you on a culinary journey of discovery through authentic Liguria
This is the realm of Carolina Vio. A cuisine dedicated to her grandfather Renato, known as Renè, and to the family vegetable garden, which has always been the source of richness for our dishes. Simple, seasonal dishes, rich in flavour, prepared on a wood-burning stove, as in the past, served in a cosy dining room.

Aromatic herbs between sea and land
We have been producing and packaging aromatic herbs since the early 1980s, operating in the most important fruit and vegetable markets in northern Italy and northern Europe with daily shipments of bulk and packaged products. The factory is a modern facility, recently expanded and designed to be functional, complying with the quality standards required by large-scale retailers.
